A wireless sensor network is a set of specialized transducers called sensor nodes that record and monitor physical and environmental conditions at diverse locations [1].
The sensor nodes communicate the sensed data to the sink where these sensed data are found most commonly spatially distributed.
Coverage ensures that all segments in a network are covered by at least one sensor node.
The problem of coverage-hole occurs when some part of the network is not covered by any sensor node.
The important features of the proposed work are it offers a way to distribute the sensor nodes non-uniformly across the deployment field to avoid occurrence of any energy-hole; it provides a coalition based scheme which ensures energy efficient data sharing from nodes to the sink and also presents a way to reconstruct all network events at the sink by using matrix completion.
